Support Worker and Senior Support Workers Positions Available £32000 for residential support workers £37500 for senior support positions Live-in (2 days on including 2 sleeps then 4 days off every rota) Brook Street Social Care are delighted to be working alongside one of the leading providers of children's residential care in the north of England in their search for both support workers and senior support workers for a children's residential home roughly 10 miles east of Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a Residential Home for Children and Young People within the Cumbria area. Because of the unique rota, candidates have been successful from around different areas of the north as you get your hours in over two days. You of course only have to travel there using your own vehicle twice a week, there and back once as you will use the home's own vehicle when you are on shift. Working for a specialist provider of care to Children and Young People in residential based settings, this is a leading organisation known for their innovation with vulnerable looked after children. Their philosophy is to support young individuals from all backgrounds and to provide them with a reliable home and educational environment with the required support to live meaningful and valued lives within the local community. As the Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be supporting Young People within 4 single occupancy residential homes for young people with who may present challenging behaviours due to adverse traumatic backgrounds. Your main duties are to manage a shift, delivering care within a residential home, motivate your team and support the Assistant Manager and Registered Manager to fulfil the homes statement of purpose. In addition, you will provide emotional, therapeutic and behavioural support. You will be a naturally caring and compassionate person with a true passion and patience for helping others in times of crisis. You will be required to hold a full UK Driving Licence, hold a level 3 in Children and Young people or equivalent, experience and understanding in a similar setting is essential. If you are a residential support worker with relevant qualifications ready to step up to senior, you may be considered for this role. This is a full-time position with a salary of over £32000 for RSWs and £37500 inclusive of sleep in rates, in addition to exciting benefits. As a senior support worker, you will have experience and knowledge working in the LAC system. You will also have at least n NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or Children's Residential. As a support worker, you will be able to evidence experience working with vulnerable young people. You will be supported to achieve your specific CYP Level 3 qualifications to allow you to provide evidence-based care to the young people and progress in the organisation.
