Job summaryWard Clerk - Band 2Brooklands Hospital - Inpatient wards.37.5 hours per week - Monday to FridayWe are looking to recruit to an administrative support role largely based on in-patient wards located at Brooklands Hospital for the Learning Disabilities and Autism Directorate.Brooklands is a purpose built hospital, consisting of six specialist separate units, providing inpatient assessment and treatments services to adults and children who are living with a learning disability. It is a Centre of Excellence and hosts a several different services as detailed below.Learning Disability Assessment and Treatment ServiceMedium Secure Learning Disability Service (male)Low Secure Learning Disability Service (male)Low Secure Learning Disability Service (female)Young Persons' Learning Disability ServiceAdolescent Learning Disability ServiceThe service accepts patients from the West and East Midlands region and beyond.Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will be required to work within an integrated and skill mixed team, providing an effective and efficient admin support to clinical staff across the site. You will be required to learn different admin functions in order to provide input to the clinical and admin teams. Due to the nature of the role you must be able to multi-task under pressure and work autonomously and flexibly to meet the needs of the service. This will be an interesting and varied role and we are, therefore, looking for individuals with a positive approach to change and who are supportive of service improvements.
