Applications are invited for 2 highly motivated Cardiac Physiologists specializing in echocardiography to join the Cardiology team working at Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital on a rotational basis. We are a busy department providing a wide range of investigations both invasive and non-invasive. A complement of 8 Cardiologists is supported by a team of Cardiac Physiologists, Assistant Practitioners and Physiologist Helpers along with a Clerical Support Team. There are also Specialist Registrars and Nurses in Arrhythmia, Heart failure and Cardiac Rehab. Adult and paediatric transthoracic echocardiography is regularly performed along with advanced echocardiography including stress echo (exercise and dobutamine), bubble studies and contrast echo. A full range of non-invasive and invasive procedures are performed within the department and there is also a very well-established Pacemaker, ICD and CRT implant and follow-up service. These posts provide an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic, experienced Specialist Cardiac Physiologists to deliver and help develop a high quality service. The successful applicants will have BSc. Clinical Physiology, HNC MPPM or equivalent. Full accreditation in echocardiography e.g. BSE or equivalent is essential for the post. The post holder will be a specialist in the field of echocardiography and be experienced in all other areas of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing.
