We are very pleased to invite applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow (SpR equivalent) in trauma & orthopaedic surgery at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post will be based either at the Royal Free Hospital or Barnet General Hospital. Elective clinics and trauma will be predominantly at the Royal Free Hospital site and Barnet General Hospital. Elective operating will be carried out predominantly at Chase Farm Hospital and some elective clincis at this site as well. The post is suitable for a person who wishes to improve their trauma and orthopaedic knowledge and skills, participate in teaching, both undergraduate and post graduate, and develop their research interests. This post will be under the supervision of a named consultant, who will act as the educational supervisor. The successful candidate will become part of the department, which has 24 consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeons based across the Trust. The successful candidate will play an active role in the day to day provision of orthopaedic care to our patients. They will also be expected to participate and develop the teaching and research output of the department. North Mid is part of North Central London integrated care system – consisting of the NHS and Local authority organisations in Camden, Islington, Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. As with other ICS’s, we are working increasingly closely with partners and indeed many of our financial and performance objectives are measured at this system level. Whilst all organisations remain as standalone, statutory bodies we have an ICS infrastructure for making shared decisions and agreeing shared approaches.
