Join us as Administrative Assistant, working within Children and Young Peoples Services (CYP), in our North and East Ipswich and Coastal Business Support Team. Your role and responsibilities Our business support team provides administrative support to the Practitioners and Managers supporting children and families across our locality area. You will: - have a varied workload enabling you to use a variety of communication, administrative and financial skills and experience - have the full support of your team members both within the local and wider team together with opportunities to continue to learn and develop your skills - be dealing with incoming and outgoing letters, emails and telephone calls with the families of the Children and Young People we support - process requests for goods and services making arrangements for payment with suppliers ensuring accurate records of transactions are maintained - at times, be required to minute meetings and deal with requests for information and data - be required to update case recording systems on a regular basis ensuring information is accurate and recorded in a timely fashion. There may be on occasion a requirement to work from the other offices in our locality from time to time to cover staff absences or for induction and training purposes. You will need: - excellent IT skills, in particular for Microsoft packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.) with the ability and willingness to learn new systems - strong interpersonal and communication skills and a good understanding of how to deliver a positive customer service experience - a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team - excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as an understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements in the workplace.
