There is some requirement within the post to flexibly cross cover other teams, this is to enhance our team working across inpatient services and to ensure that we all have a broad range of clinical experiences.You will be working alongside a clinical team comprising of Consultant Practitioners/Associate Specialists/GP trainees and other ACPs supporting the ward teams with the medical aspects of patient care while developing your own clinical expertise within the specialties of Frailty, Older Peoples Medicine, Rehabilitation & End of Life Care.Applications are invited from candidates who are Registered Nursing or Physiotherapy colleagues, holding an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or working towards) and have relevant post registration experience or those people willing to undertake an MSc and who meet the academic criteria to do so. We have limited this post to Nursing and Physiotherapy only due to current prescribing restrictions for other professions.Main duties of the jobExperience at Band 7 with knowledge of effective change management skills and a proven track record in the delivery of high-quality clinical care are essential.The successful candidate will be a team player who is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the people who access our services.The post is banded at 8a (AFC) on completion of the MSc in Advanced Practice, or at band 7 (dependent on stage of training/modules ratified).You will be expected to work across all four Advanced Practice Pillars.Clinically working independently at an advanced level in the direct delivery of high-quality care making critical clinical decisions based on varied skills and assessment techniques.Provide clinical leadership and support across the entire inpatient MDT and to support the Senior ACP Leadership Team in developing the ACP service to improve the patient experience.Supporting colleagues to achieve training and development requirements.
