Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for our AHP Practice Development and Education Lead role to deliver and progress the development of the AHP workforce, pre-registration student education, apprenticeships, continuing professional education /training, preceptorship and professional practice for AHPs.As an HCPC registered AHP with relevant NHS experience you will be responsible for the strategic overview and provision of a high quality practice learning, advise on and lead on contemporary practice issues across KMPT and offer professional leadership on education.KMPT is seeking highly motivated, committed, creative individual, who share an ambition to work collaboratively to help maximise the quality and availability of practice learning opportunities for Allied Health Profession students and continue to drive practice learning excellence across mental health services.The post holder will be able to work independently, to set priorities & manage time effectively. You will have strong communication, organisation & decision-making skills & have a proven track record in delivery & co-ordination of AHP education and practice-based learning.Main duties of the jobYou will work as an integral member of the AHP senior leadership team and will ensure the delivery of, and provide assurance of, the standard of practice learning, professional education as well as acting as a reference point for the wider organisation. You will line manage the practice placement facilitator and AHP apprentice lead and work closely alongside the nursing education and placement team.You will ensure close and effective working relationships with all clinical and operational managers responsible for delivering practice learning and workforce development.
