As a Senior Analyst within the Health Informatics Department, you'll get just that.You'll join the Corporate Information team and be responsible for delivery of a variety of the team's core service offerings, including development and maintenance of Power BI reports, development of corporate KPIs, and delivering an efficient process for ad-hoc data requests. You'll collaborate with Trust colleagues to deliver the data services that they require to monitor, manage and improve their services. You'll be responsible for the development and management of reporting solutions, responding to ad-hoc requests, support the department's reporting requirements, and work on several other projects as directed by the management team.You'll manage a small team of analysts, inspiring them to work towards the team's objectives and ensure their skills and knowledge are developed and maintained to enable them to meet external and internal deadlines.You'll need to have experience of managing large complex datasets, be highly experienced in Power BI, SQL, SSRS and be technically minded with evidence of continuous learning and development and ability to adapt to new reporting tools.If you are an enthusiastic individual with drive and commitment, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and a logical thinker with a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.Main duties of the jobYou will:*Develop a high level of proficiency in the use of the Health Informatics department's software tools such as but not limited to; Power BI, SQL, SSRS.*Interpret and analyse complex information and present it in a simplified manner.*Support clinical, operational and managerial staff with support and advice on data, data analytics, information systems and data-related business processes within specialist subject area.*Undertake and participate in special projects as directed by the Senior Informatics Manager.*Be responsible for staff management, performing yearly appraisals and identifying, developing and delivering appropriate levels of training.*Ensure departmental guidelines are followed and a culture of best practice is promoted within the department regarding analysis and the clear presentation of reports.*Make sure that all work is fully documented under Health Informatics department guidelines and written Standard Operating Procedures are kept up-to-date.About usWe are recognised as one of the leading NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK.
