Job summaryWe are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated, full time Booking Assistant within our Clinical Administration booking team, who are based at the Administration Hub in Huntingdon.If you are looking for a new challenge, enjoy variety in your work and wish to be part of a team striving to make a difference to our patients' journey. This post is fundamental in ensuring that the patients' experience is always a positive one.You will have responsibility for talking to the patients on the phone, booking appointments and admissions to ensure patients do not wait longer than necessary and entering information into multiple IT systems.The skills we are looking for are attention to detail, tact, patience, accurate data entry, the ability to liaise with colleagues throughout the Hospital and beyond, excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and respectful manner. Some specialties have a very high numbers of patient calls, so you should expect to spend time on the phone every day.The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under time restraints and pressure at times. We will provide the necessary support to ensure your development within your role.Main duties of the jobProvide a patient-focused, high quality, efficient and complete administrative support service and customer care experienceWorking within a centralised booking team to include organising and booking inpatient admissions and outpatient appointmentsResponsibility for the delivery of an aspect of the service which will include the tasks required to deliver that service taking action where necessary, and escalate any potential issues to the Team Leader.
