There has never been a more exciting time to join our team and the post offers fantastic opportunities to build your experience in governance, innovation delivery, across health & care, digital transformation and commercial sectors, with exposure to senior leaders internally and across the system.Main duties of the jobThe Business Manager has a pivotal role in working with Executive Directors to deliver on strategic business priorities on behalf of Health Innovation Manchester.The postholder will provide specialist knowledge and expertise in system engagement, strategy development, business planning and governance, with a deep understanding of the innovation landscape across GM and nationally.They will oversee the effective management and planning of a range of strategic projects, whilst ensuring activities and services are planned and managed effectively to ensure successful delivery. The information below is only a brief summary.Business planning development:Provide strategic and insightful business management approaches, supporting organisational and system-wide strategies and delivery against corporate objectives.Ensure delivery of priorities set out in the HInM Strategy and Business Plans by providing coordination across HInMs functions to achieve shared objectives, developing joint solutions and workplans.Governance and system engagementManage and co-ordinate a full range of stakeholder meetings and events as required, including managing governance on behalf of the GM ICS and with HInMs industry partners.Provide and receive highly sensitive, or contentious information and deliver such communications to a wide range of audiences using tact and diplomacy in management of this information in order to overcome resistance and achieve co-operation and agreement or provide reassurance. This includes information for presentation to Board Committees, understanding decisions taken and providing feedback.Business supportWork closely with HInM integrated functions, including running team meetings, compiling, and tracking progress against joint workplans and addressing issues that arise.Provide timely and accurate written reporting, with information presented in a suitable format for the relevant audience.
