Job summaryJob Title: Chief Respiratory and Sleep PhysiologistDivision: Medicine and Emergency CareCare Group: Specialist MedicineBand: 7Salary: £43,742 - £50,056 per annum/pro rataWe are recruiting for a Chief Respiratory and Sleep Physiologistwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best Peopleand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist to join our friendly and supportive team of 11 physiologists and 2 administrative staff, working with 9 Respiratory Consultants.We have a busy Respiratory and Sleep service, including outpatient respiratory and sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education at Medway Maritime Hospital and two new Community Diagnostic Centres.You must have a BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent, and or be on the RCCP register.Main duties of the jobTo competently and confidently perform pulmonary function tests and sleep investigations.To provide technical reports and interpretation on investigations that are performed within the department.To hold CPAP consultations for patients requiring treatment set-up, follow-up and annual review, and to provide comprehensive written reports.To deputise for the Principal Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist during times of leave and where delegatedTo vet referrals and, with the support of the Principal Physiologist, make patient treatment decisions.To ensure personal development through continued professional development (CPD).Our values are Bold, Every Person Counts, Sharing and Open and Together.
