You will be required to work flexible shifts, as well as across-site working.This is a permanent role, where you will contribute to practice education for clinical nursing staff within both endoscopy units. If you have an interest in clinical education and are keen to develop new skills, then this could be the role for you!Main duties of the jobIt is essential that you are able to demonstrate proven substantial experience of working within the area of endoscopy and you must be able to show that have had experience of working in an acute clinical environment.Working as a Band 6, the post will be split between the two JAG accredited Endoscopy units within the Trust at CDH and RPH. Across both units, we carry out a wide range of both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures to both outpatients and inpatients, these include:Royal Preston Hospital procedures:GI procedures including; OGD/Colonoscopy/Flexible sigmoidoscopy/Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)/Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)/ Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) endoscopy.GI Emergency Bleed rotaAs part of the National BCSP we undertake the FOBt screening lists.Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy including: Endobronchial Ultrasound/Trans Bronchial Needle Aspiration (EBUS/TBNA)/Endobronchial Valves and coils and stents/Thoracoscopy/Indwelling Pleural catheter (IPC) placement/Nasal-endoscopy for Induced Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO).Chorley Hospital procedures:GI procedures including; OGD/Colonoscopy/Flexible sigmoidoscopy/Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR)/Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)/Breath TestsAs part of the National BCSP we undertake the FOBt Screening lists.Diagnostic bronchoscopiesAbout usWe have 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients.
