We operate as a team within a creative and flexible approach and provide shared responsibility of risk management to support our service users who have a primary diagnosis of psychosis. We run groups for service users and has a biopsychosocial approach to support and we are keen to find dynamic individual with leadership experience to join the team. We are happy to accept professionals from either an Occupational Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing or Social Work background, provided they can demonstrate that their professional can add unique value and clinical expertise to the role.This post offers the Trust's £4,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners, as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).Main duties of the jobThe AOT work with individuals who are difficult to engage. These individuals present with complex needs, including severe & enduring mental health needs, substance misuse, forensic issues and housing difficulties and may have often have had unsuccessful working relationships with mental health services in the past. The work we do with this group is so crucial and the job satisfaction we receive when we make a breakthrough with patients is incredible.You will work alongside the Team Lead to provide management and leadership within an Assertive Outreach Team with a particular focus on providing a clinical leadership to provide/support staff to deliver high-quality care and a high-quality service within the resources available within a defined area. You will be supervising approximately half of the band 6 staff within the team. Your role will also involve being a lead practitioner for a relatively small, yet complex caseload. This agreement contributes to the improvement in mental health and wellbeing and results in easier access to a more responsive mental health service.The S.75 agreement between Brighton and Hove City Council and Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust has been in place for many years and has meant several Social Care staff have been co-located within the Trust to deliver statutory duties.
