Job summaryWest London NHS exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Leader on 4 wards in Lakeside Mental Health Unit, Grosvenor Ward, Finch and Robin Ward (female Acute) and Kestrel Ward (Male Acute). This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Band 5 Nurse seeking to broaden their leadership skills and supervisory experience on an inpatient setting.We are looking for a forward thinking, emotionally resilient and clinically creditable individual who can thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment. The post-holder must demonstrate a good understanding of leadership skills and motivate staff to deliver the core objectives for the trust, whilst supporting individual development within the team.The successful candidate will receive a full induction and be given proactive support to undertake this challenging yet highly rewarding management role. This includes being part of a very supportive senior team where there is a proactive approach to clinical and professional development.Main duties of the jobAs the manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care to patients on the ward, ensuring high standards of care are met. Your role involves providing strong leadership to patients and staff, managing day-to-day operations, and striving for continuous improvement in care quality. You will also maintain a high standard of the ward environment in accordance with CQC guidelines.you will also lead a team comprising qualified and unqualified staff, as well as admin personnel. Your clinical leadership skills will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of patient care. At all times upholding and teaching the Recovery model and reminding mindful of all physical health needs and social inclusion ensuring that anti stigma is upheld.The post holder works under the overall supervision of the Ward Manager, but is required to undertake the duties of the post without direct supervision. They are required to teach of other nursing and non-nursing staff allocated to their particular area. The post holder is designated as the person to take charge regularly in the absence of the Ward Manager, with prior agreement with that person, undertaking defined managerial responsibility for the ward.
