Regardless of the task you will find the role challenging and rewarding.Main duties of the jobIn this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day availability, maintenance, monitoring and integrity of databases and associated support software held by NHSBT and managed by the Database Technology and Design (DTD) Team.You will also assist in the design and development of existing and new database provision.You will carry out tasks relating to the availability, security, performance and capacity of the database estate, as well as carrying out routine administration tasks such as account management and data amendments.You will work primarily with the SQL Server based elements of NHSBTs database provision.You may, from time to time, be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior noticeYou may be required to participate in a 24 hour on-call rota with prior noticeAbout usAt NHS Blood and Transplant, were incredibly proud of the many talented people who come together every day to make our organisation the very best it can be.
