If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.We are looking for a motivated and methodical individual to join our Theatres team as a Decontamination technician. You will be a key member of the clinical team and will support the Sterile Services team in ensuring that reusable medical equipment and instruments are cleaned, sterilized, repackaged, and redistributed to for clinical use.This role is ideally suited to someone who is process driven, with a proven ability to work accurately whilst meeting tight deadlines and would like to start progress their career in a private healthcare setting. You will work 4 days per week between Monday and Saturday on a rota basis. Shifts will be 10 hours long between the hours of 07:00 – 20:00 depending on the service need.Main duties of the jobAs a Decontamination Technician you will:Work to a consistently high standard and be responsible for your own actionsCheck in returned contaminated instruments and equipment after usePrepare instruments for decontaminationReconstruct Surgical instrument packs for reuseOperate the department’s electronic tracking system to log and track instruments into, through and out of the department.About usKIMS Hospital is the largest independent hospital in Kent.
