Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Deputy Bed Manager to work within the Mental Health Inpatient Pathway Team with a particular interest in Older Adults.We would welcome applications from Mental Health Professionals with excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills. You will be assisting the patient flow between hospital & community teams using our resources efficiently whilst meeting the needs of the patients requiring our inpatient facilities.The Pathway team, work across Adult & Older Adult, Inpatient Wards & Rehabilitation Units across Herefordshire & Worcestershire. The patient group for both counties is diverse and encompasses a broad spectrum of needs and illnesses.In the absence of the Bed Manager there will be an expectation to step up and manage patient flow for all inpatient units.Joining our trust provides the opportunity for Flexible Working and development. This role would provide the opportunity to develop your operational management skills.Main duties of the jobSupport to ensure effective use of bed capacity, including assisting in the repatriation of Trust patients from other areas and moving patient between different units.
