Job summaryWe currently have a Band 6 vacancy available at Winchester on Northbrook ward, our acute inpatient unit. This is a general paediatric ward which provides 24-hour acute care for up to 15 children and covers all specialities including children needing a level of high dependency care.Our band 6 team are crucial to providing supportive leadership and high quality care to our patients and familiesMain duties of the jobOur band 6 team lead the day to day delivery of high quality care to children and young people with a range of clinical needs, including those with medical and surgical complaints. No two days are the same!As a band 6, you would be responsible for the line management of a team of band 5 nurses and band 3 health care support workers. Alongside this, your team would be the lead on various elements of ward setup and safety, and for a number of clinical link roles. This allows all team members to have an input in constantly evaluating and developing our servicesWe actively provide our nurses with the opportunities to develop within our teams.
