An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Waste Assessment Officer for the Refuse and Recycling Service. Hours of work are 37 hours per week, 9.25 hours per day, Tuesday to Friday. To work as part of a team and individually to promote the Councilandrsquo;s refuse and recycling service with particularly emphasis on the correct and appropriate ways to dispose of waste and recycling. You will be working in various areas visiting residents who need support in understanding the principles of recycling, reducing contamination, bin presentation and waste reduction. Responding to reports received from Crews, Councillors and Officers, under the direction of the Team Leader, you will help our residents by challenging, influencing and enthusing our residents to improve recycling and help the local environment.andnbsp; Work will include audits of residents recycling and part of your role will align with Council Policies to support actions of the Enforcement Officers.
