The Facilities Management (FM) Service comprises several diverse and multi-disciplined teams that are responsible for the safe operation, management, maintenance and efficiency of the Council’s property assets. The teams provide a range of services and support to the Council’s operational, commercial and schools portfolios ensuring the Councils legislative obligations are fulfilled. Sitting within FM, The Operations Team is expanding to ensure our properties remain functional and safe for our occupants and visitors. The team are responsible for ensuring our buildings remain compliant, safe, secure and vibrant working environments. You will be joining a fast paced and rewarding service, maintaining and operating our vast property portfolio ranging from the Grade I listed Guildhall to our modern One & Two Friargate buildings. We are looking for an enthusiastic Facilities Manager (Operations) to be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and services, ensuring value for money, condition and safety are all achieved and continually improved upon. You will be part of a core team of FM professionals providing quality service delivery to employees, tenants and building users. As the Facilities Manager (Operations) some of your key responsibilities will include managing and operating key FM soft services contracts such as manned guarding, washroom hygiene, window cleaning and confidential waste ensuring that value for money is achieved, and an efficient service delivery is received. You will work with procurement colleagues when contracts require re-tendering, and work with service providers in setting and reviewing the service level agreements and KPI's. You will work strategically across our suburban property estate providing corporate landlord support to service areas who occupy our properties, ensuring that the corporate landlord model is adhered to. You will be responsible for carrying out project management of small – medium sized project workstreams, and also provide wider resilience support to our other portfolios within FM Operations consisting of our Friargate District, City Centre and Housing and Homeless. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
