If the answer to the above is yes, then this is the role for you!As Finance Manager you will manage the provision of finance and business support to a range of Corporate Services including Medical, Nursing, People, Finance and Medical Education within a multi-sited Foundation Trust. This role has been developed to enable you to develop int the role and take a step towards developing into a full Finance Business Partner in the future. The role will enable you to expand your management, and service support skills, while providing clear strategic financial leadership, delivering robust operational and financial management and improving cost effectiveness within the corporate services you will be supporting.Main duties of the jobThe role involves preparing annual revenue budgets that align with financial budgets, gaining approval from relevant managers and directors, and ensuring accountability through budget managers' sign-off. Persuasion and negotiation skills are crucial, particularly when addressing managers' financial expectations.The role entails providing financial support, advice, and regular reports to various groups and meetings, collaborating with operational colleagues. Continuous support is provided to budget holders and service managers to effectively manage financial resources, fostering customer engagement and establishing effective communication.The position involves investigating and analysing complex technical issues to offer advice and support to managers, directors, and executives. All information and advice must comply with statutory regulations, with the expectation of providing interpretations when necessary.Strong persuasion and negotiation skills are essential for presenting contentious information to large staff groups in challenging circumstances. Managing teams of staff, including promoting ongoing staff development, and liaising with senior staff in external organizations are also part of the role.Moreover, collaboration is sought to develop and implement a robust personal development plan aimed at fostering growth, learning, and development through training, coaching, and support, with the goal of preparing for future roles as a finance business partner.About usWith a workforce of approximately 15,000 staff, we are positioned to expand our reach and impact in delivering health services to local communities.
