Job summaryHousekeeping is a vitally important role within the hospital as it supports the nursing care of patients by making sure that they receive the nutrition that will help them recover from their illness or surgery. The housekeeper's role is to deliver the meal, snack service and drinks throughout the day and to be responsible for all elements of food hygiene and safety in the ward kitchens. As a housekeeper you can make a real difference to the patients experience in hospital by providing support and a friendly face to patients during their stay.There are various elements of the meal delivery service that will be the responsibility of the post holder's, managing the storage and production of snacks and drinks, cooking and presenting meals from frozen as well as managing meal delivery service.
