Job summaryAre you an experienced registered Professional (e.g Social Worker/Occupational Therapist or Nurse) who is looking for an exciting new challenge or an opportunity to develop your existing skills? We have an opening for a Locality Lead, this is offered as a full or part-time post, initially fixed term for a year and may suit someone looking for a secondment or chance to develop their leadership experience. The role will have a base in either the Mildenhall Hub or Newmarket Hospital site, travel to engage with community and social care teams across West Suffolk is also required.In West Suffolk health and social care teams have a well-established culture of collaboration and integrated ways of working. The Locality Lead is an exciting and varied role that includes operational management and quality improvement. The post holder will need to be able to develop excellent working relationships, be proactive in networking with key stakeholders in their Localities and be able to take shared responsibility for collaborative leadership decisions.This post is suited to an applicant with compassion, energy, ambition, and excellent problem-solving skills, who can adapt responsively to changing demands and who is wishing to gain further experience in operational and strategic management of complex change. You will be offered support, flexible working opportunities and the chance to expand and progress leadership skills.Please note Interviews will commence W/C 15/07/2024Main duties of the jobLead the development of integrated operational delivery of adult health and social care in specified localities to deliver better outcomes for people to live as independent lives as possible.Directly responsible for the implementation, and delivery of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INT) and for working alongside other operational managers and specialist services to ensure the service offer to local people is joined up and providing the best quality and evidence-based care.Proactively supports locality partners and services to inform priority setting, planning and implementation of opportunities to develop Localities.Be responsible for leading on specific clinical/care governance activity within the INT and Locality space, which will include the oversight and monitoring of standards, responding to complaints, staff support, learning, development, supervision, and the implementation of policy and clinical guidelines.Deliver transformational as well as operational change to ensure the priorities of the Alliance partners and of the locality are delivered effectively.You will need:to promote the Alliance vision, objectives, and priorities effectively to your staff, our partners, and the public and always inspire others by role modelling organisational valuesto promote a culture of value for money, outcome-based customer / patient focus and continuous improvementAbout us#BeKnown at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
