Job summaryLocum Consultant Physician in Diabetes.An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the expanding Diabetes Consultant team, as a fixed term Locum Consultant at the University Hospitals of Leicester. Applications are invited from candidates with comprehensive experience in Diabetes and General (I) MedicineThe role will involve both outpatient and inpatient work across 2 hospital sites, including the LGH and LRI. The successful candidate will demonstrate competencies matching the personal specification and needs to possess existing specialty knowledge and skill set required for the position. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about diabetes care and improving the patient experience and outcomes. Key duties include:Contribute to high demand diabetes speciality activities along with colleague in department.Contribute to delivery of care for patients with complex diabetes needs in secondary care.Provide senior clinical decision making during on call cover.Participate in annual job planning and appraisal.
