Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic department, within the Head, Neck and Orthopaedic directorate.The post is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week during core office hours Monday to Friday.Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a challenge and is used to working in a busy environment. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have excellent prioritisation, organisational and interpersonal skills.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will require excellent communication skills, demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a time, using their own initiative and be will to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the service.Our ideal candidate should also be able to demonstrate experience in administrative duties such as typing, answering the telephone in a polite and courteous manner and be able to process relevant paperwork for the department.
