Job summaryYou will be responsible for the provision and coordination of high-quality midwifery care within the Powys Continuity of Care model, across the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period, within the Ystradgynlais and Brecon Team and will also work in partnership with other Midwifery Team Leads across the county to promote excellence in care over a 24 hour, 7 day per week continuum.Main duties of the jobProvide management and leadership to midwifery and support staff and the clinical area to ensure smooth running of the service. Provide a full range of health, education and social care and advice to women and families within an integrated model of care, encompassing preconception, and the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods, in a range of environments. Act as a mentor for preceptorship midwives, student midwives and new staff. Provide leadership and expert clinical midwifery advice when acting as Operational Team Lead (OTL) across Powys Midwifery service.
