Sunderland City Council are seeking to recruit a strategic Network, Parking and Road Safety Manager within our Transport and Infrastructure service, as part of the City Development directorate. This exciting new post aims to keep traffic moving across a busy and developing city and provides a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individualandnbsp;to join our senior leadership team and provide clear strategic management and operational leadership. You will be the strategic lead for the Network Management team, responsible for permits, feasibility and managing utility works across the highway. You will also be the lead for our Parking and Road Safety teams and oversee the implementation of moving traffic schemes. andnbsp; You will support the Assistant Director of Transport and Infrastructure to shape and deliver the Service areas above, operating within the values, principles and strategic vision of the council and supporting delivery of the City Plan. Youandrsquo;ll be working closely with a wide range of partners both internal and external, at both regional and local levels, acting as the councilandrsquo;sandnbsp;lead expertandnbsp;in the management and operational aspects of your service area ensuring the overall effectiveness of service delivery, strategies, driving efficiencies, cultural shift and the departmental agenda. The position will deputise for the Assistant Director of Transport and Infrastructure as and when required.
