Job summaryThe Royal Marsden Hospital is Europe's largest Oncology centre with sites in Chelsea and Sutton. The Nuclear Medicine Department (Nuc Med, PET/CT, DEXA, Therapies) is looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our team on the Sutton site. The successful candidate will help to support the department as a whole and ensure that the service is patient-focused and provides high quality care. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to professional development, an enthusiasm for their work and show a keen interest in the future of both their profession and the Diagnostic Imaging Service. Nuclear Medicine qualification and experience is essential. Full training in PET/CT will be provided where required. The candidate will be expected to support both the service and its staff in continuing to maintain and develop the highest standards of imaging. The position will predominantly be at our Sutton site. For further information and to arrange an informal visit please contact Adam Oxer, Deputy Service Lead Manager on 0208 661 3761.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be responsible for the timely, efficient and courteous provision of Nuclear Medicine and PET services.The post-holder will liaise with a variety of staff throughout the Trust, including wards and theatres and with those from other NHS trusts. The key working relationships in the department will be with the imaging, medical, clerical and nursing staff.The post holder will have considerable patient contact, including contact with the terminally ill.
