Job Description
We are looking for a well-qualified professional who is passionate about the education of children to join our successful school as soon as possible. The position of OPAL (Outdoor Play & Learning) Co-ordinator is a new role at Monkfield Park, and we will be looking for a confident, self-starter who can lead on the operational delivery of the OPAL programme, which is due to be launched at Monkfield Park in September 2024. Your contract will also include delivering intervention groups/one-to-one sessions with children across the school, and, on rare occasions, to step in under the direction of a teacher to ensure that a class is supervised. The post is for 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 3.30 pm, plus five training days). We are a two form entry primary school with extended school facilities. We are seeking a fun, forward thinking practitioner who will inspire our imaginative children to achieve their full potential, inside and outside of the classroom. Applicants should be able to bring new and exciting ideas to the school, be highly motivated and have a commitment to ensuring pupil progress. We have enthusiastic children, supportive parents and governors, as well as positive engagement with other local schools and the wider community. You will be part of a friendly, helpful, hardworking team based in a well-resourced building in the developing town of Cambourne. We had our Ofsted Inspection in November 2018 where the school was judged as good. The Inspector found that “Children have positive attitudes to learning” and “Good relationships between pupils and with adults contribute to pupils’ strong progress”. The Inspector also stated that “Staff are proud to work at the school and want the very best for the pupils that they teach”. Monkfield Park Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The above post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Please call 01954 273377 for an application pack. CV applications will not be considered. Closing date: 26th April 2024 (9.30 am) Interview date: 7th May 2024 (am) For more information or to chat about this opportunity please contact Jacqueline Durrant office@monkfieldpark.cambs.sch.uk Monkfield Park Primary School - Vacancies What will you be doing?
