Job summaryWe require a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Plaster Technicians to join our team.The base site will be North Tyneside General hospital however you would be expected travel between sites which includes Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, Hexham General Hospital and Wansbeck General Hospital. Therefore a valid driving license and access to a car is essential.The successful candidate will require experience in all plastering techniques and require possession of B.O.A/R.C.N(S.O.N)A.O.T Casting certificate. You will need to be compassionate and caring, enjoy working with people and wanting to make a difference to the patients journey.Main duties of the jobYou will be required to work in the Plaster room with adults and children and be required to cover the Fracture clinic/ Virtual Fracture clinic. You will also provide a service to the wards when patients are unable to attend the plaster room and theatre for cast application if and when needed. This is an exciting opportunity where you will be working as a core member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a patient centred casting service.We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, proactive and motivated. You will need to have the ability to multitask, organise your own workload whilst remaining calm under pressure and enjoy a challenge.
