Job summaryWe are recruiting to the dual role of Podiatry and Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team Manager within Cornwall Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a broad range of leadership and management skills including supervision and appraisal, service improvement, managing change and delivering quality services. This post also has a key focus on new models of care, waiting list management and RTT performance.Proposed interview date: 25th July 2024Main duties of the jobProvide leadership and line management to the staff in the defined area.Be responsible and accountable for leading and managing the overall operational function of the locality teams.Be accountable for clinical service delivery.Develop the service in accordance with local and national policy and legislation and will promote evidence based best practice.Develop partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations to aid communication and provide better outcomes for patients.Deliver key performance targets and ensure commissioning requirements met.Initiate, lead, drive strategic direction and manage complex organisational change processes and service development projects to meet budgetary and practice developments, includes reviewing the model of service delivery and a workforce review.Ensure Safeguarding practice and escalation processes are followed.Work with partner colleagues to deliver the integrated service agenda.Will deputise for the senior manager or other area managers as required.Will work across health, social, commissioning, education and voluntary services boundaries to maximize the quality of life for patients and drive service development.Will promote the professional links with universities, colleges and schools to develop and deliver apprenticeships and encourage and support students into podiatry recognising podiatry as a profession nationally that is at risk and the implications of this for patients.About usWe're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
