This is a fixed term contract for 18 months while you undergo the apprenticeship and, after that, depending on achievements during the 18 months, the option to make it substantive. This role will be supporting the procurement team to deliver a fully operational and effective purchasing and supply service for the Trust, as well as other organisations to whom a procurement service may be contracted, delivering ongoing cost efficiencies and benefits to the Trusts and their customers.This Level 3 apprenticeship is an 18 month training programme which will be completed whilst working in the Procurement Department at The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services). Entry requirements for this post are a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C/9-4 including mathematics, English language or equivalent. Training will be carried out through Exeter College on a day release basis (Term time). You will study for a Level 3 Diploma as a Procurement and Supply Apprentice which will enable you to achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship with CMI Membership Status . On the job competency based training will be also be provided to the successful applicant.It doesnt matter if you dont currently have the experience for the role, we are willing to train you whilst you work, as you undertake the Apprenticeship with Exeter College. There is an option to undertake a Level 3 qualification at Exeter College, as well as Functional Skills in English and Maths and we can discuss this with you on the day.You will act as an ambassador for the Procurement Department and promote benefits of procurement engagement to all customers.You will work as part of a small, focussed team, process orders placed by all areas of the Trust using the Trusts approved procurement system (ERP/UNIT 4) in an effective and efficient manner according to the performance standards set within the department. Proactively manage the procurement and expediting of travel and accommodation arrangements for all procurement customers in accordance with Trust Policy and deal with a high volume of customer and supplier queries primarily over the telephone and e-mails to ensure that goods and services are selected, ordered and received in appropriate timescales.Part of the role will be keeping statistical data regarding the teams workload up to date and carrying out operational tasks associated with the procurement of goods and services and effectively contribute towards the Trust value for money and cash releasing saving targets, as well as those of other organisations to whom the service is contracted.This role is based primarily at our Newcourt House offices, near IKEA, though the flexibility of hybrid working would be considered after a probationary period.Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 08:00 - 17:00, times to be discussed at interview.
