Job summarySouth Western Ambulance Service is looking for a motivated, proactive and collaborative project manager to support the delivery of the Trust Annual Plan. The programmes within the Annual Plan respond to the challenges of the years ahead and our strategic ambitions as set out in our Strategy for 2023 to 2028. This role represents a unique opportunity to be involved at the outset of a programme of work which will deliver significant and transformational benefits to the service and the communities we serve.Main duties of the jobWorking as part of the project team within the Trust's Strategy and Transformation Directorate this role will be responsible for supporting the Trust Plan Executive Sponsor/Senior responsible owner with the creation and maintenance of the required governance documentation and products to underpin successful initiation, delivery of outcomes, reporting, and tracking of benefits over the project lifecycle. Programme and workstream planning, milestone and dependency management, benefit tracking and a robust approach to risk identification and mitigation will be key elements of the role. The role will also support the wider team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Directorate in oversight and management of the whole Plan.The successful candidate will have proven project management experience in the delivery of business change, be a confident and empathetic communicator with strong attention to detail and be passionate about delivering effective solutions in the demanding operational context of NHS emergency care. The ability to build productive relationships and work effectively across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is essential.
