Job summaryThe development and implementation of new blood components is one of NHSBTs strategic objectives. The globally renowned component development department is focussed on the successful delivery of translational research projects to meet these objectives. Currently these projects include developing universal components and a dried plasma component. You will play a vital part in supporting these large translational programmes within Component Development, working with a team who are seeking to improve blood components. The outcome of these projects is likely to be translated into routine practice across the NHS and potentially internationally. Reporting to the translational research programme lead, your tasks will be hugely varied, ranging from building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to tracking and reporting on project progress.
