This is suitable for an experienced band 5 looking to develop skills at Band 6 level or for an existing band 6 physiotherapist looking to specialise.We will offer you the opportunity to develop skills across the four pillars of practice:Clinical - access to inhouse training, external courses and expert clinical supervision.Research - access to quality improvement training and the wide variety of research opportunities offered by our Academy of Research and Improvement.Education - ability to support students and undertake teaching opportunities as wellas instruction in how to deliver training effectively.Leadership - access to a wide variety of leadership, coaching and mentor courses.Main duties of the jobWe have a comprehensive frailty rotational pathway which balances the development of specialist knowledge and skills with gaining a diverse experience in a range of care settings.The rotation covers two organisations -- Solent NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospital University Trust allowing you to develop skills across the whole patient pathway.9-month rotations are split over both employing organisations and include:*Solent Inpatient Rehab -- Spinnaker Ward*Solent Inpatient Rehab -- Summerlee Unit*Solent Portsmouth Rehab and Reablement Team (PRRT)*Solent Community Physiotherapy Team*Solent Urgent Community Response Team*PHU Urgent Care Team -- QAH*PHU Orthogeriatrics -- QAH ward D6*PHU Acute Older Persons Medicine -- QAHThe service is covered over seven days and you will be required to work weekends and early and late shift patterns on certain rotations.You must be a car driver and owner with the relevant business insurance cover and be able to use your car for work.About usWe have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Subject to approvals, the aim is for the new Trust to be formed by July 2024.Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services. The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.Colleagues will transfer to the new organisation under Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) -- known as TUPE on 1st July 2024.
