Job summaryWe are looking for passionate and ambitious pharmacy assistants to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at QEQM Hospital.As a Clinical Pharmacy Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team in supporting the pharmacy department in delivering a comprehensive ward-based medicine management service.You will require excellent communication skills and be a strong team player who is able to work on their own initiative, within the limits of the job role. Full training will be provided so no experience necessary!Main duties of the jobTo assist the pharmacy clinical team to ensure that medication is supplied safely, accurately and in a timely manner to the patients and wardsTo check patients own medications brought in are safe and suitable for use whilst an inpatientTo dispense and final accuracy check medication on a ward level to ensure safe and timely supply of medicines to patient to support discharge or prevent missed doses.To support the supply and management of ward medicines in line with the Trust Medicines Policy.To support the Clinical Pharmacy Assistant Team Leader in the supervision of Clinical Pharmacy Assistants in providing a top up and clinical role to the wards/areas on siteTo liaise closely with the distribution team to ensure smooth medication > supply to the wardsAbout usApplications for this role should be written by the applicant.
