You will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths.Main duties of the jobThe Role of a Band 6 Mental Health Central Access Point is to co-ordinate and provide specialist telephone assessments, interventions and expertise to services users in crisis 24/7 per 52 weeks per year over the phone in the community team.The successful candidate will collect, collate and fully accurately report patient information, maintaining accurate complete and contemporaneous nursing records in line with NMC / HCPC and Trust standards, involving clients/service users and carers / relatives in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care.The role will include co ordinating shift working in partnership with Turning Point recovery workers who will need your support and expertise. Working collaboratively to maintain effective communication as a multi-disciplinary team member and with other professionals/agencies to ensure needs are.The role is dynamic and requires specialist assessment of risk, the Mental Health Central Access Point is a professional and diverse team to work with and will provide you with lots of experience across the acute sector.About usLeicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages.
