Senior Street Enforcement Officer (Backshift)

Salary: £30,751 - £36,312
Hours: 36 per week (pro rata over an eight week cycle)
Days worked will be as followed:
4 days on, 4 days off; Sunday to Thursday 1300 hours to 0000 hours(Midnight), Friday and Saturday 1400 hours to 0100 hours
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Street Enforcement Officer to undertake a variety of duties to improve the safety and quality of the street environment with a primary focus on enforcement by using delegated statutory functions. This will involve leading a team of Enforcement Officers having the ability to be flexible and work as part of the management team to increase performance. This shall include extensive communication and engagement with members of the public, businesses, other Council services and other stakeholders and may involve investigations and involvement in demanding and complex cases.
Applicants must have:
• Experience in a supervisory or management role
• Experience of working in an outcome driven and customer focussed environment.
• Ability to interpret policy, procedure and legislation relevant to the role and apply it to working practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with colleagues at all levels, customers, community group, partners and elected members.
• Accuracy and attention to detail – the post holder is required to gather evidence and record comprehensive information in relation to investigations and attention to detail is essential to ensure this is carried out in an accurate manner.
• Flexibility and adaptability – the post holder should be flexible and be able to adapt to different situations and changes in order to meet service demands.
• Desirable UK Driving License

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
