Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do in Children’s Services and as a Council. Within this the role of Safeguarding Service Manager is a key leadership role as we drive change within our service to ensure our practice and performance within Child Protection continues to evolve and meet the needs of children and young people in need or crisis’. Its purpose is to provide strategic, operational and professional leadership.
Your areas of responsibility include, Early Help Duty & Assessment Team, Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit for Children and the oversight and development of Adult Safeguarding.
This is a great opportunity to join a well established leadership team who have recently launched their “Keeping Children Safe” risk management framework as well as a Quality Assurance framework. We are looking for someone with statutory safeguarding experience and drive these initiatives and to help Monmouthshire manage their safeguarding responsibilities to our communities.
