Job summaryWe are looking for a professional and experienced Sonographer with a commitment to excellent patient care and high quality imaging to join our friendly and dynamic Non-Obstetric US team. This post will be based at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.We have facilities at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Andover Community Diagnostic Centre and Alton Community Hospital. Each Department has designated ultrasounds rooms and you will work with a team of Sonographers, student Sonographers, RDAs and Radiologists. We are looking at the potential to expand our service on all our sitesWorking Hours: 37.5 hours or pro rata per week variable shiftsMain duties of the jobWe undertake a variety of examinations for ED, inpatients, outpatients and GP patients including urology, baby hips, MSK, vascular, gynae and soft tissue. We also offer ultrasound access for ambulatory services such as Stroke and Same Day Urgent Care.The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of Non-Obstetric US, please note that this post does not include Obstetric Ultrasound as this is run by a separate Department. As part of the role you will be expected to participate in student Sonographer training and support the service as it develops.The successful candidate must have a PgD in Ultrasound or equivalent, be HCPC registered and be able to travel between our sites as required.About usOur vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient.
