Job summaryThis post will join the team of consultants responsible for the provision of acute surgical services to the Local Health Board in Cwm Taf. The post will be part of the Trauma and Orthopaedic (T&O) Team and provide support to the on call rota based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The post arises due to a vacancy in the higher specialist training scheme for T&O. The post holder will be required to support the delivery of outpatient, inpatient and emergency services for the local population and in doing so foster excellent working relationships within and outside the specialist area, including medical, nursing, secretarial and support staff, General Practitioners and Management Teams.Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.Main duties of the jobSpecialty Doctor - Trauma & OrthopaedicsRelationshipsThe successful candidate will be one of a number of Doctors who will be supported by a team of consultants, middle grades, junior doctors and Nurse Practitioners.The role will cover all aspects of T&O admissions working at Middle Grade level. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who wish to gain wider experience in the specialty in an acute setting.
