Job summarySpeech and Language Therapist (Adult Acquired Teams)- Band 5Chippenham Community Hospital19.5 Hours per week - PermanentDue to internal promotion we are looking for a newly or recently qualified Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in community adults to join our Adult SLT Team.The post is likely to be focused in the towns of Trowbridge, Westbury and Warminster, although there may be a requirement to travel elsewhere in Wiltshire. The post will focus on a mixed adult caseload, including stroke, progressive disorders and voice for 19.5 hours a week based at Warminster and Trowbridge Hospital.The role will initially focus on working with a wide range of communication difficulties. Development of dysphagia skills will also be an essential part of the role over time, with appropriate clinical supervision from specialist colleagues.Main duties of the jobWe are supporting a digital first model for our community work, but also provide face to face outpatient clinics and domiciliary visits.We have a robust system of supervision and provide CPD opportunities throughout the year.
