There will be ongoing service development projects which you will have the opportunity to participate in as well the opportunity to be involved in exciting research.Main duties of the jobYou will be working with clients across the adult age range including the well-established Young Onset Dementia (YOD) multidisciplinary team at the Cariad Centre, Barry Hospital. Your caseload will be varied and interesting as your clients will present with a wide range of dementia subtypes, and other mental health diagnoses. In this role you will be providing comprehensive swallowing and communication assessments, and holistic management to clients in the community. You will also have the opportunity to develop your inpatient and outpatient experience, which will include time with our inpatient MHSOP wards and the Memory Assessment Service. We aim to provide the highest level of care and achieve a great level of client/carer satisfaction and you will be integral to this.You will also have the exciting opportunity to be part of developing and delivering a new SLT training and education programme to staff and to formal and informal carers of clients within the MHSOP services.
