Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 nurse who is interested in a career in our Specialist Critical Care Unit. You must have recent acute care experience.If you are successfully appointed to this role and complete a 6 month probationary period you will be eligible for a two stage New Starter Premium of £1500 in total. You will receive £500 after six months in post and another £1000 on the one year anniversary of your start date. Please be aware that this is for new employees only, therefore bank staff and any returners within 12 months would not be eligible.**Help with relocation will be considered**Main duties of the jobThe post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers. They will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care under indirect supervision from senior staff. To assist in your learning we will support you in completing the CC3N STEP 1 foundation programme for Critical Care.We are a 5 bedded Critical Care Unit. We care for a variety of different specialities - reconstructive plastic surgery, reconstructive head & neck cancer surgery and maxillofacial trauma and major burn patients requiring HDU / ITU level of care.If you are keen to gain new skills and knowledge in a specialist area, we can offer you wonderful development opportunities while working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
