Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated admin assistant to join our stoma care specialist nursing team at Ipswich. The position is based in the outpatient area at Ipswich hospital.The function of the post is to provide an administration service to the Stoma care team to enable them to undertake their clinical and management roles. This includes appointment booking, referral management and office administration.You will demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. You will also be proficient in clerical and IT skills. Knowledge of the hospital appointment booking system is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided where required.The successful Post holder is expected to work within a small office, with varying noise and occupancy levels, equating to 15 hours per week.Main duties of the jobYou will provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support to a small specialist nursing team. This will include making and changing appointments, photocopying, filing, stock ordering, updating patient information and typing.You will also receive and process telephone calls. These include calls from patients, relatives, GPs, stoma company representatives and other medical professionals.
