Job summaryTo work within the Administration Team to provide a comprehensive medical secretarial support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Basingstoke Community Mental Health team. Communicate with a range of internal and external professionals and organisations whilst providing good customer service experience for all patients at all times.Main duties of the jobReceiving referrals, ensuring they are passed onto the appropriate clinician for triage and maintaining a database of all new accepted referrals. Inputting referrals onto RIO primary electronic database. Checking for all demographics and upload of any relevant documents. Contacting Service Users and arranging assessments, monitoring waiting times and sending out any follow up appointments as and when necessary. To provide secretarial support to members of the CMHT Teams including social workers and nurses. Respecting patient confidentiality at all time. To type assessment summaries, reports, documents and other letters ensuring confidentiality of patient records is maintained. To support the Admin Team Leader to ensure that at all times sufficient cover is available to carry out the duties of the team. To perform any any ad hoc duties as and when required, this can include assisting with covering reception.
