Job summaryWe are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic candidate to the role of Ward Clerk within Emerald Ward to give a high level of patient serviceApprenticeships are designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognized qualification while completing on the job training. You will be supported to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to perform in the job role. You will also have study time allocated within your working hours to gain your qualification.For this role you will undertake a 19-month development programme in Customer Service within Oncology & Palliative Care department, through work-based learning and by attending regular training sessions. Successfully completing the training programme will lead to an Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2.Main duties of the jobTo provide administrative cover to the ward and ensuring that this is delivered to high standards.To ensure the timely administration of admissions and discharge summaries and GP notification on discharge ensuring that all data is recorded on the discharge database.To ensure PAS / Careflow is up to date and to know how accurate and timely data collection helps the Trust deliver patient care now and in the future.To help your team meet its data quality targets by using data reports to correct errors and be aware of ongoing performance.
