Job summaryWe looking for an experienced administrator to come and join our children and young persons ward to support the senior nursing team.A key element of the role is to working alongside the ward manager in assisting with the management of nursing roster.You will join a friendly team and will be responsible for daily administration duties. You must have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated; enjoy interacting with people and being part of a busy fast paced children's ward.You will support the Ward Manager and Nursing Teams to achieve the administrative elements of their role, and will be required to co-ordinate and streamline the delivery of admin tasks such as: coordinating staff sickness, training, e-rostering, assisting with preparing reports, gathering and populating information requests, including typing correspondence and reports, filing, photocopying and general office duties including answering the phone and directing patients and staff queries appropriately.The ability to work accurately whilst multi-tasking is essential. Knowledge of IT systems would be advantageous though training would be given if required, previous experience in an administration environment is preferable.This post is an ideal opportunity to develop Orthopaedic knowledge/terminology. As an individual and as part of a Team you will have the opportunity to contribute to new developments within the service, therefore the ability to implement and to adapt to change is essential.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain and manage the Ward Sister diary / telephone messagesReceive and distribute all staff mail.
