    • Job summary The Orthopaedics Department are seeking to appoint a Junior Clinical Fellow for a period of 12 months to commence as soon as possible. Following the previous successful recruitment campaign at Rotherham, we are now looking to provide an additional job vacancy in the Department of Trauma & Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will participate in day to day care for elective and trauma inpatients. There will be an opportunity to assist in theatre on a weekly basis along with outpatient clinics. The successful candidate will participate in the first on call rota, supported by the ST3+ Higher. You will be encouraged and expected to conduct audit projects. Although this post is not formally recognised for Specialist Medical Training, the post holder will be both expected to, and supported in, taking either the MRCS or completing a MCh (Orth) Degree. Active participation in the audit programme is mandatory. Participation in the ISCP assessment system is anticipated and fully supported by the Department. There are 16 Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons specialising in a variety of procedures, such as hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and hand surgery and an Orthopaedic Service for children. THE PANCREATOBILIARY UNIT AT LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST The Pancreatobiliary unit is run by an established team of Pancreatobiliary surgeons, working within the RLUH providing a Pancreatobiliary cancer resection service as well as managing chronic pancreatitis and severe acute pancreatitis for Liverpool and surrounding areas. This comprises a population in excess of one million patients, and generates approximately 180-200 resections per year.
