We pride ourselves that for the past two years the ward has been the best performing nationally for the outstanding care our patients receive when attending with a hip fracture as rated be The National Hip Fracture Database. The 34 bedded mixed trauma and orthopaedic ward takes patients directly from the Emergency Department, the Orthopaedic Outpatient clinic or home 24 hours a day. We are also the only ward within the Trust to accept traumatic spinal fractures which we take great ownership of. For the successful candidate there will be learning opportunities to progress knowledge and practice on spinal and trauma and orthopaedic care. There is a strong emphasis on multi professional team working to ensure the patient is always at the centre and there is a high focus on rehabilitation. Work and Skills Officer G7 - Strangeways & Cambridge SRF Enterprise officer Introduction to Strangeways & Cambridge SRF The Strangeways & Cambridge Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) is a collaborative initiative by Salford City Council and Manchester City Council aimed at transforming the combined area. This visionary project, spanning 320 acres, aiming to fundamentally revitalise the area by enhancing the built environment and mitigating flood risks. With plans to build up to 7,000 new homes and create a major new urban park, the SRF will deliver new vibrant commercial spaces and new green public realm. It is estimated that over 500 businesses, to some degree, will be affected as a result of the proposed changes. The extent to which businesses will be affected will vary, based on a number of factors including location, size and sector. Based with the Work and Skills Team, we are looking for a professional and committed officer who will act as a single point of contact to deal with all business enquiries relating to the draft Strangeways & Cambridge SRF. This person will be funded via the UK Shared Prosperity fund and will act as a single point of contact or the “front door and face” of the 2 Local Authorities to triage businesses and deal with immediate enquiries. As this is funded by UKSPF, there will be financial and monitoring requirements with specific targets relating to outputs and you will be responsible for providing regular updates using a variety of reporting methods to the project board, steering group and line manager. You will be required to assess the impact of the regeneration project on local businesses and regularly report business concerns, feedback, and the effectiveness of support measures, providing recommendations for adjustments as necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships effectively with diverse stakeholders and a proactive problem solver with a strong focus on prioritising business needs.
